Reclaiming personal power.

It’s been a few months since I have sat down to write a newsletter. The world has been changing so rapidly and so have I. The new reality we find ourselves in—blatant abuses of power, unnecessary war, a potential merge with technology, the dismantling of systems—have surprisingly opened up potent opportunities for growth inside of me. As I witness what is not me, I begin to reclaim what is me. My values, my knowing, my personal power.

The funny thing about values, knowing and personal power is that there is never a right or wrong. My values are mine. They have developed over decades of lived experience that no one could understand but me. My knowing is mine too. I’m learning to trust what I know and let this trust take me into the unknown. And the reclaiming of personal power is simply the willingness and the courage to be as authentically me as I can be.

The state of the world has inspired me to look at the places where I have handed my power away to people, systems, and conditioned beliefs. I have been creating new boundaries, discovering new depths and experiencing the sweet homecoming of lost parts of me. And the experience has been sweet. As I reclaim my abandoned parts, there is more love, more trust and more spaciousness inside of myself to stay with my own experience, to be curious and open, and to be grateful to be in this human body, remembering and rediscovering who I am, in all of its complexity and messiness.
