Let your mind and heart open to change and possibility.

I am inviting you into not knowing today. We are moving through a time of chaos where the mind may be reaching for a sense of control. Resistance to change is often an unconscious, habitual response of the mind. This is an invitation to let go of your stories about right and wrong, good and bad and move into a deeper knowing. To let this deeper knowing guide you.

Surrender is hard. Feeling out of control is an experience we often resist because we are practiced at avoiding difficult feelings. What happens in surrender is an incredible realization that we don’t actually need to control our lives. We begin to see a higher intelligence at play, a movement that is working for us despite how it may appear. When we surrender, we are able shift our perspective to see that things may be okay after all.

Growing up, my dad used to say “no pain, no gain.” I think he was talking mostly about exercise and work ethic, but I think it also applies to any pain in life. Pain is simply a natural part of change and change is inevitable. Change is taking you where you want to go. Opening to pain allows the natural movement of transformation to flow. Let your mind and heart open to a greater possibility than you had imagined and allow the unfolding of each moment be a gift.
